1: Attention by The Academy Is...
I thought Attention was an apt song for my first instalment of this writing series. ATTENTION! Now pay close attention. Give me your attention. I mean it. Pay attention, because things are about to get interesting. I intend to write 100 pieces over the next few months based on songs. You’re wavering already. I said – PAY ATTENTION! Thank you. Now, this is going to be something of an achievement for me if I manage it. Think about it – 100 pieces over approximately three months. You’re losing interest again. I know because I am too. I’m babbling. But I meant it when I said ATTENTION! I want you to read these pieces, post your comments, let me know what you think, how I’m doing, how I could improve. Because I want your attention. I want your eyes on my work, your minds thinking over the meaning behind what I write. I told you I thought Attention was an apt song for my first piece. I was right, wasn’t I? Because now I’ve got your attention. And hopefully, I’m going to keep it right here, reading.

And so begins my epic quest to write 100 pieces over three months. Don’t you think it was just the best luck to get Attention as song number 1? The only way I could have done better would have been to get Introduction by Panic, I reckon. Ah well, enjoy. I’m planning on posting a piece or two a day, depending on how much time I have and how much I write for each piece. But yeah. COMMENT, PEOPLES!!!!

As a writer, it's very hard to post 100 things. I'm not going to lie. You get so caught up in the middle of the world and you forget. But yes, to get someone's attention, you couldn't find a better song. I mean, I hope you can do this challenge. It's a difficult thing (well, it was for me). Good luck.
