22: Glass To The Arson by Anberlin

It’s always the quiet ones. That’s what they always tell you. Always the quiet ones. I suppose they’re right. She’s so loud, so out there. Got so much confidence. All the friends and the popularity.

So…normal.

Everything that I’m not. But they don’t see that. I’m bright, smart, friendly. I don’t need the popularity or the huge friendship group. But I’m quiet. And I don’t need her noise and their fawning getting in the way of my life.

If she carries on like this much longer, she’s going to see that fairy tale life of hers go up in smoke. And I’m not going to get caught in the fall out.
'K, so mystery is probably not quite the right category, but it'll do for now. Not at all pleased with this - I love the song, but I couldn't come up with anything halfway decent to write for it. I ended up being really pissed off when I wrote this. Sorry. Anyways, inspired by the lyrics:
We are who we are. We are the arsons who start all of your fires.
And:
Tonight my heart is cold.
Lost in your lies. Shallow replies.
Tonight I just think you’re
Lost in your lies. Transparent cries.

I don't know the band, but that will soon be corrected. Sounds interesting (the quotes) and I can relate... I'm usually the quiet one and what you've written is true. The loud ones burn themselves up, sooner or later.
