29: Everyday Combat by Lostprophets

Violence in a country you’ve never heard of. Not until the soldiers went out there to help, anyway. Corrupt governments and evil dictatorships. Terrorism, drug trade, arms race. More countries you’ve never heard of. A world of violence, greed and slaughter.

You’re safe here though. Safe in a country you’ve lived in your entire life. Safe in your own home. You’ll live a longer life here than those poor sods out there in those countries you’ve never heard of.

Safe until they get home from the pub and find out you haven’t made dinner. Safe until you end up in hospital again with unexplainable injuries. Safe for now.

Don’t think you’re safe, cos it’s not over.
So, the last line is from the song and kinda sparked the whole thing. People worry about terrorism and the like, but the real issues are closer to home. Anyways, comments as always very much appreciated.
